WHAT WE DO
GENERAL CONTRACTING
We offer comprehensive construction services, providing materials, labor, and equipment for a wide range of projects, ensuring seamless execution from start to finish coordinating specialized subcontractors to perform portions of the work required. Project managers are assigned to ensure communication between the contractor, engineer and customer.

RoadS and railbedS
Ungar can assist with road and railbed construction, from initial site preparation to final grading. We can clear and excavate the site, ensuring proper drainage and stability before laying a solid base. We have the equipment to compact and level, and install geotextile fabrics, subbase materials, and ballast for railbeds. Our team ensures precision throughout every phase, using advanced equipment and techniques to create strong, long-lasting infrastructure that supports heavy traffic and rail operations.
SITE PREPARATION
Ungar has extensive experience with greenfield construction at numerous sites including but not limited to Cargill Project Dawn in Clavet, SK, Louis Dreyfus Commodities in Yorkton, SK, James Richardson International, Yorkton SK, Viterra in Wadena, SK., G3 Canada in Melville, SK., and subdivisions for the City of Yorkton. Work activities included clearing and grubbing, dewatering, excavation, embankment, aggregate supply and installation, loop track construction, road and pad construction, drainage, culvert installation and landscaping.
Aggregate Supply
We offer aggregate supply, processing, and delivery services for construction materials including Ballast, Sub-Ballast, Type 8 Subbase, Type 33 Base Course, 1” Minus crushed rock, Rip-rap, and Sand. Our aggregates are sourced from our local quarries and meticulously processed by our team, ensuring high-quality, clean, and durable products for your construction needs. We handle the logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery, providing a seamless experience from order to site.

With over 20 years of extensive expertise in derailment cleanup operations, our dedicated team has successfully managed numerous incidents for prominent companies, including Canadian Pacific Railway, Canadian National Rail, Mosaic mines, Bunge, Louis Dreyfus, and Broadgrain. LAGOONS AND LANDFILLS
We’ve successfully constructed primary and storage lagoon cells, as well as landfill cells where groundwater issues led to significant inflow into excavations. We’re flexible with project timelines and, if necessary, can accommodate winter construction. Many sites also require specialized materials such as erosion control blankets, geotextiles, synthetic liners, and, for landfills, the construction of a leachate collection system, all of which we can source and secure.
